Stalkernet, Wheaton College, 2010

The title, Stalkernet, is Wheaton College students' waggish name for the college's online picture phone directory. The installation included images from the directory as well as images of me and the students who helped me produce the piece. Viewers could opt to protect, alter or erase the images as one of my students chose to do to my image at the opening. She reached up, pulled the plastic sheet and my image vanished. Rauschenberg's Erased DeKooning came to mind as did the victims of the Haitian earthquake which had happened weeks before the piece was created.
